Hiring Meta Ads management: from ad to useful enquiry

Before hiring someone to manage Meta Ads, ask to see what happens after the ad and who will respond to an enquiry. An eye-catching design can attract people looking for something else. This guide helps you commission Facebook and Instagram campaigns with a clear offer, an accessible enquiry route and a process for deciding what to improve.

Define an enquiry the business can act on
Describe what you sell, who you can serve and where you work. A business service needs to distinguish an owner asking for help from someone seeking employment. A local enquiry outside your coverage may be unsuitable even when the phone number is correct. Define these criteria before comparing form costs.
Agree what counts as a valid enquiry: the person understands the service, fits the business and area, and provides a usable contact route. Other stages can follow, including a proposal sent or work accepted. A completed form, a conversation and a sale are separate events.
Make the offer clear in the creative
Review the image or video together with its copy. People should understand what they can buy, who it is for and what happens next. A sector photograph with a vague promise of more work can attract the wrong intention. If the service is for business owners, explain that plainly.
Illustrative example: a sign maker could advertise shop signage and invite the owner to request a proposal using the business name. The destination should continue that offer rather than sending visitors to a general homepage. Any advertised price and conditions should match the actual proposal.
Test the destination on a phone
Meta documents different lead-generation journeys, including forms and messaging. Ask which route each ad will use: your website, an instant form or a messaging conversation. Do not assume every ad uses the same destination or every combination is available in your account.
Test the agreed journey. On a website, check the offer, submission and receipt. In an instant form, review the introduction, questions and final screen. For WhatsApp, verify the destination business and whether the message retains context. Opening a messaging app is not proof that an enquiry was sent.
Keep forms short and purposeful
Meta's lead-generation guide recommends explaining what people can expect after submitting and avoiding unnecessary questions. Every field should help you respond or establish whether the service fits. Ask to review the entire form, not just its opening screen.
A choice question can identify the requested work: a first website, a redesign or improvements to an existing site. Include an area check when coverage determines whether you can help. Save the full quotation brief for later. Received contact details alone do not demonstrate purchase intent.
Assign receipt and follow-up
Agree where contacts will be received, who has access and who responds. If a CRM is connected, request a receipt test with the necessary fields. Meta describes both lead-retrieval integrations and integrations for later outcomes; the actual scope should be confirmed rather than assumed.
Prepare a short written introduction that recalls the service and ends with an easy question. For a sign maker, that might be the shop's name. Continue from an existing conversation instead of restarting with repeated greetings. Respect refusals and requests to return later.
Compare useful enquiries alongside clicks
Keep a record linking each enquiry to a source or ad you can verify. Record fit, replies, proposals and the outcome confirmed by the business. Avoid counting the same person twice when they submit a form and also message on WhatsApp. A maintained spreadsheet can be a practical starting point.
Cost per form uses registered forms; cost per valid enquiry uses only contacts meeting your agreed criteria. Cheap registrations can be unsuitable. Poor follow-up or measurement can also affect the outcome, so check receipt and the contact history before judging the ad. An interested conversation should not be recorded as a sale.
Separate creative work, management and media spend
Ask the proposal to distinguish setup, creative assets, management and the amount paid to Meta. Confirm whether landing-page changes, form connections and CRM integration are included. Media spend alone does not describe the project cost.
Agree which ads will be tested, which materials you provide, when results will be reviewed and which budget changes need approval. Retain access to your business assets and learn how to view enquiries. No budget guarantees customers, and no sequence of messages can compel a reply.
Prepare a brief for Numuno Digital
Send us your priority service, coverage, intended customer and current website or business profile. Explain the desired outcome and who will handle written enquiries. If you already advertise, share a summary for a defined period; there is no need to start by sending passwords or customers' personal data.
We can then define the offer, assets, destination, follow-up and test budget in writing. Any website changes should be specified alongside the campaign. The proposal should explain deliverables and how performance will be reviewed before increasing investment.
Questions before hiring Meta Ads management
Is a form better than a website? That depends on the offer and the information people need before enquiring. Review the possible journeys and test the one you will launch.
Is a cheap lead a good result? Only when it fits the service and can progress commercially. Review quality, replies and proposals alongside cost.
Can an agency guarantee replies? It can work on the message, destination and follow-up; each person decides whether to respond or buy. Do not confuse contacts with sales.
