How to choose a web design studio for your small business
A useful proposal explains what you will receive and what you need to supply. Before comparing fees, ask each studio to address the same business problem with a scope you can inspect.

Ask for an example and what it proves
Open a project on your phone and ask about a decision: why services have separate pages, how language switching works or where an enquiry starts. With Clean Eco Glass we can show these journeys and screenshots of the delivered site.
Ask whether each example is delivered client work or a concept. Our SŌLFORMA and Farina Fable studies are labelled concepts: they help assess design, but do not establish client outcomes.
Compare equivalent deliverables
A one-page proposal and a site with service pages and complete language versions cover different work. Request a list of pages, languages, content, revisions and functions. Clarify whether an appointment is a request or a confirmed booking.
Separate design and development, domain, hosting, maintenance and any advertising budget. Ask what is included, what costs extra and how scope changes are approved.
Clarify content and account ownership
Bring accurate service descriptions, coverage, authorised photographs and contact details. Ask who writes, translates and approves each language and what happens if materials are incomplete.
Record who controls the domain and accounts, what is handed over and how you can update or move the website. For maintenance, request its scope and the process for changes.
Define delivery through actions you can check
Instead of accepting “optimised website” as the only criterion, agree concrete checks: mobile navigation, form success and error states, contact links, complete languages and review of important existing URLs.
Promises of guaranteed rankings or enquiries need careful scrutiny: delivery and measured commercial outcomes are different things. Choose a proposal whose work and limits you understand.
If you are comparing proposals for a Madrid business, our Madrid web design and marketing guide distinguishes a first website, content improvements and an advertising landing page. Use it to define the work you need and how to review an online delivery.
Your checklist before starting.
- A delivered project explained, with concepts identified
- Written pages, languages, functions and revisions
- Content responsibility and domain access
- Defined acceptance and maintenance
